TSSOM Library

Life at sea demands both technical knowledge and moments of reflection. As we prepare for the delivery of the new State of Maine and the upcoming summer sea term, we are seeking contributions of funds and books to assist in creating the ship’s library.

With your support, the State of Maine library will offer cadets and crew a well-rounded, accessible collection of educational and recreational resources for life onboard, creating a valuable asset for students and staff for years to come.

Purchase Books from Wishlist
We welcome donations of new or like-new books from the authors and genres listed below (coming soon). Donations can be mailed to: Nutting Memorial Library, ATTN: State of Maine Library, Box C-1, Pleasant Street, Castine, ME 04420.
Deliver books to the Maine libraries
Donations of five or fewer books can also be dropped off at any Maine library participating in the statewide van delivery system; these should be labeled “Attn: Maine Maritime Academy Library: State of Maine Library Donation Drive” to ensure that these reach us. Please contact your local library to confirm that they are a van delivery participant before dropping off donations.
