Territory Sales Manager for North America, Inland Waterway and Northeast, Caterpillar Marine

Jim Mundth is a 1989 MMA Marine Engineering Technology Graduate with a USCG Unlimited HP Engineering License, Steam & Diesel. Jim started his career sailing with Keystone Shipping Company as a 3rd Assistant Engineer. Jim launched his shoreside career with Emerson Automation Solutions and has had held leadership positions with Fisher Controls, ASCO Power Technologies as well as with Ashland Drew Marine. Jim joined Caterpillar Marine in 2008. Mr. Mundth has demonstrated leadership in the Power, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, as well as a Global Marine Segment Leader covering Dredge, Inland Waterway, and Offshore segments during his 15 years with Caterpillar Marine. Jim is currently the Territory Sales Manager for North America, Inland Waterway and Northeast. Mr. Mundth has successfully led initiatives improving Marine Customer’s business success thru integration of sales and services to maximize availability, minimize downtime, improve efficiency and asset utilization/ optimization. He is recognized as an industry steward and an advocate for the US Maritime Industry. Jim is active in key industry organizations including the AWO, WCI, OMSA, and WEDA. Jim is a resident of Ft Lauderdale, FL and a proud father of 4 along with 4 grandchildren. Jim also enjoys spending the summer months in Castine. Mr. Mundth continues to be an ambassador for the successful progress and application of Caterpillar Marine innovations in the marine industries for building a better, more sustainable world.
