Richard R. Paton ’66
Richard R. Paton, 70, of Ellington and formerly of Coventry, beloved husband of Caroline (Wiatrak) Paton, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He spent his career in Risk Management and retired from Phoenix Insurance. He served his country for 27 years and retired as a Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard. Richard also served on the board of the Workman’s Compensation Trust and the Steamship Historical Society Association. In addition to his loving wife Caroline, he leaves his three adoring children, and six beautiful grandchildren, Sabrina, Taylor, Johnathan, Samuel, Analisse, and Tenneson. A memorial service will be held at Second Congregational Church, 1746 Boston Turnpike (Rt. 44), Coventry on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the church or to the Maine Maritime Academy, Class of 66 Project, 1 Pleasant Street, Castine, ME 04421.
