David C. Witham ’62

David Chester Witham, 75, of Wakefield passed away on April 2, 2016 in a house fire while on vacation in the Bahamas.

David was born on March 23, 1941 to Harvey and Myrtle (Anderson) Witham of North Providence, RI. He graduated from North Providence High in 1959 and the Maine Maritime Academy in 1962.

After five years serving in the Merchant Marines, David worked as a plant engineer at BDA and Textron. In 1982 he opened his own consulting business, Witham and Associates.

A life-long resident of Rhode Island, David was an avid boater and sports-fisherman. He is survived by his wife Johanna “Yoka” (Molleman) Witham; three children Melinda Witham of Charlestown, RI, Kimberly Witham and her husband Walter Trarbach of High Bridge, NJ, David Allen Witham and his wife Lori of Warwick, RI; grandchildren Chapin, Sage, Royal and Harper; and brothers Paul Witham of Cape Cod and Thomas Witham of West Kingston.
