Bio

Robert Drach is an Assistant Professor in the International Business and Logistics department, where he teaches courses in accounting, finance, and economics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He brings real-world financial expertise directly into the classroom, helping students connect theory to practice.

Robert is a CFA charterholder who founded Drach Advisors in 2006, where he continues to manage client portfolios and develop investment strategies. He publishes weekly market commentary and maintains model investment portfolios at drachresearch.com, covering topics ranging from equity valuations to behavioral finance. His work has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, U.S. News & World Report, and other publications.

Prior to joining Maine Maritime Academy full-time, Robert served as an adjunct finance instructor at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in physics and a Master of Science in finance, both from the University of Florida.

Native Floridians, Robert, his wife, and two children have embraced Maine as their new home. He can often be found hiking throughout the year and playing pond hockey in the winter.
