Course Description
This course covers essential shipboard management responsibilities, including:

Emergencies and safe working practices

Fatigue management

Health and hygiene

Drugs and alcohol awareness

Marine environmental issues

Communication and teamwork
A written exam will be conducted to assess the theory and understanding of course material.

Applicants who successfully complete this course will satisfy the Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR) training competency requirements of:

STCW Code Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1 (as amended in 2010)
