Course Description
This U.S. Coast Guard approved course is designed to qualify seafarers for certification as having met each of the four elements of basic safety training in accordance with the International Convention of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) for seafarers which include Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid, and Personal Safety and Social Responsibility.

Students may also select from one through four of the modules within the framework of the course schedule (please contact the office to arrange this)

 

USCG Approval

  • Personal Survival Techniques (STCW A-V1-1)
  • Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW A-V1/1-2)
  • Elementary First Aid (STCW A-V1/1-3)
  • Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (STCW A-V1/1-4)
