Course Description

This U.S. Coast Guard approved course is designed for mariners seeking certification in the four elements of Basic Safety Training required by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).
The course includes:

• Personal Survival Techniques

• Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting

• Elementary First Aid

• Personal Safety and Social Responsibility

Students may register for the full course or select individual modules depending on their needs and qualifications.

USCG Approval

This course satisfies the following STCW Code requirements:

• Personal Survival Techniques – STCW A-VI/1-1

• Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting – STCW A-VI/1-2

• Elementary First Aid – STCW A-VI/1-3

• Personal Safety and Social Responsibility – STCW A-VI/1-4

Certification is issued upon successful completion of the applicable modules.
