Course Description

The MMA Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher course is open to all seafarers who have less than one year of sea time in the last five years, who have been previously certified in Advanced Fire Fighting, and are capable of meeting the physical and eligibility requirements for STCW certification.
 
Requirements for Students:

• A current and applicable Advanced Training (ADV) endorsement
• Good physical health to perform standard practice skills
• The ability to speak and understand English for course instruction

 
Important Notes:

• To comply with NFPA regulations for SCBA use, students must be clean-shaven. Mustaches are permitted.
• It’s recommended to bring an extra set of clothes to change into after the live burn exercise.

 
USCG Approval

Applicants who successfully complete our Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher course will satisfy the Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher requirements of  Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010, and 46 CFR 11.201(h) (1), and 11.303(e).
