Michael K. Morrissey ’66

Michael Kevin Morrissey, 63, a lifelong resident of Portsmouth, N.H., died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, after a period of declining health.

Born in Portsmouth on April 29, 1943, he was the son of the late James E. and Anna (Zaremba) Morrissey.

He was a graduate of Portsmouth High School with the Class of 1961, where he excelled in football. He later graduated from Maine Maritime Academy and eventually became a chief engineer and spent the better portion of his years traveling around the world.

Mike will be remembered as an “easygoing guy” who loved his family, his friends and the ocean, and as an avid sports fan. He will always be truly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his two sons, Jonathan T. and his wife, Andrea, and Timothy K.; three grandchildren, Derek J., Ryan L. and Andrew P.; his sister, Sheila Kendall; and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Morrissey.
