Matthew S. Williams ’96

Matthew S. Williams, 48, passed away on October 17, 2020. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 12, 1972. He was a graduate of Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, NH, cum Laude from Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, ME and GE Electric Power System Field Engineering Program. He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX.

Matthew was an Attorney and Counselor at Law in Texas. He was a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Harvest United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing with his daughters, playing guitar, archery, gardening and cooking. He was a creative woodworker and made home furniture.

Matthew is survived by his daughters Mattie Williams and Molly Williams; his parents Dennis and Shirley Williams; sister Amy Fernandes (David); nephews Damon, Aaron and CJ; aunt Bonnie Van Fleet; and cousins Jennifer and Greg Van Fleet.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours 5pm to 7pm on Friday, October 22, at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30am Saturday, October 23 at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake. Burial will be private.
