Louis M. DeCicco ’53

Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Dr. Louis M DeCicco and Mabel DeCicco in 1931, Louie enjoyed his childhood growing up in what was known as the “Patch”, a small Italian American neighborhood. After graduating high school, he attended Maine Maritime Academy as a deck officer. Upon graduating he served his country in the US Navy during the Korean conflict. He then worked in the US Merchant Marine sailing the seven seas. He married and had six children. He retired from his life at sea and moved his family to Bourne where he  owned and operated the Panorama Motel along with his own real estate brokage. During his business life he owned and ran several successful businesses. He retired, remarried and moved to Centerville with his wife and child and enjoyed life.

Louis had seven children and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Weary Travelers in Monument Beach, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00pm. Private Military burial will at the National Cemetery.
