Terry L. White ’79

WEST GARDINER – Terry Lee White, 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home in West Gardiner on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Terry was born on July 31, 1956 in Skowhegan, Maine, to George and Janice White. He graduated from Skowhegan Highschool in 1974. Terry then went on to Maine Maritime Academy and graduated with a bachelors degree in engineering in 1979. After shipping for a few years, Terry went to work at Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant until it closed. Terry then traveled to several power plants as a procedure writer.

He was predeceased by his father George White, and mother Janice (Dunlap) White.

Terry is survived by his wife Teresa White; five sons Daniel White, Jonathan White, Chad McKenna, Shawn McKenna, Donald Austin; two brothers Richard and David White; sister Linda Babcock; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Terry was a man of few words, but his expressions said it all. Terry loved to travel and enjoy life.

A celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
