Today marks an important milestone for Maine Maritime Academy—and for the future of maritime training in the United States.

At 5:15 PM, the official signing ceremony for the T/S STATE OF MAINE will take place, formally transferring the National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) to the... Academy.

This next-generation training ship will provide hands-on learning opportunities for cadets while also serving as a vital national asset for humanitarian assistance, disaster response, and national security missions.
