Board of Trustees to Hold Quarterly Meeting, Welcome New Appointee

CASTINE, Maine—The Maine Maritime Academy Board of Trustees will hold a regular quarterly meeting on Friday, May 4 at 3:30 p.m. in the Holmes Heritage Room, located at the Harold Alfond Student Center on the campus in Castine. The Board of Trustees will meet as a committee of the whole between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. also on Friday, May 4 in the same location.

Student Trustee Truman Slocum of Phippsburg, Maine will complete his year of service on the Board of Trustees at the upcoming meeting. Governor Paul LePage has nominated Brandon St. Germain of Ellsworth, Maine to serve as Student Trustee for the 2018-19 year. He is a member of the Class of 2019, majoring in Marine Engineering Operations. Brandon is a member of the Regimental Wedge as the Public Relations Officer, an Honor Board member, and a student representative to the college’s Title IX Advisory Committee. He attended Ellsworth High School.

Meeting times and location are subject to change. If changes occur, a revised schedule will be posted at the entrance to the Holmes Heritage Room.

The next MMA Board of Trustees meeting will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.
