John WebbJohn S. Webb, Esq., practices Maine law primarily in drunk driving defense and also represents clients in state and federal criminal matters. Prior to going to Vermont Law School, he attended Sanford High School and Maine Maritime Academy (‘83E) and worked as a mechanical engineer at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard on the Nimitz-Class aircraft carriers. In 2022, he was honored to be appointed to the Board of Trustees of his very beloved alma mater, Maine Maritime Academy.

John is a sustaining member & faculty of the National College of DUI Defense and served for many years as its Maine State Delegate, is a member of the National and Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, is a Past-President of the York County Bar Association, was a member of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Criminal Procedure and has been a featured speaker at many OUI defense seminars. John was honored to lecture the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL) in December of 2020 on the topic of “Defending Marijuana Operating Under the Influence (OUI) Cases”. He is currently a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and serves as vice chair of the national DUI Committee.

John has made several TV & radio appearances throughout New England discussing DUI, legislative and constitutional topics, has worked in Maine and nationally as a mentor to new lawyers on DUI topics, and in 2009 received the Victor Pellegrino Award for “extraordinary strength and character in dealing with adversity”, from the National College of DUI Defense. In 2018 John received the CHARLES W. SMITH AWARD in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the Maine legal community and the practice of law in York County. Webb Law Firm is in Saco, Maine.
