Over the past weekend, Maine Maritime Academy’s newest Regimental students reached an important milestone through a series of traditions that mark their transition into the Regiment of Midshipmen.

Events included the Fall Athletes’ Oath Ceremony, Memorial Rededication Ceremony, and ...the Regimental Induction Ceremony, where MUGs formally took the Oath of Midshipmen and were welcomed into the Regiment as Fourth Class Midshipmen. These ceremonies symbolize the completion of Regimental Preparatory Training and MUG training while reinforcing the Academy’s values of leadership, service, accountability, and commitment to something greater than oneself. For these students, induction represents the beginning of the next phase of their journey as future maritime professionals and leaders.

Congratulations to all who participated in this proud MMA tradition.
