Message from Search Committee Chair

Dear MMA Community:

The Maine Maritime Academy Presidential Search Committee is pleased to share that the search for the next president is moving forward successfully. After visiting campus in September, our retained search firm, RPA Inc. spent the fall season actively networking and recruiting to provide the Search Committee with a robust pool of candidates. The Search Committee’s review of candidates is now underway. Preliminary interviews will be conducted into the new year with search committee interviews to follow in late winter. We are hopeful that the process is on track to conclude with the announcement of the next President in the spring.

We appreciate the community’s support and involvement in this important process. Best wishes for the holidays.

I am honored to serve as the chair of the Presidential Search Committee. The Maine Maritime Academy Board of Trustees has appointed a wonderful search committee composed of alumni,  student, faculty and staff representatives and a diverse group of trustees, including the board chair, Wayne Norton. We take our role very seriously and will work diligently to recommend the best candidate for the presidential role at Maine Maritime Academy. Our deliberations are confidential; however we welcome any comments or insights you may have during this important search. As the search begins, information will be shared about how to contribute your thoughts. This portal will also provide updated information pertaining to the search.
