Women’s History Month: March 2021
Women’s History Month is dedicated to commemorating and celebrating the vital role women have played throughout history. It is an opportunity to honor women in our community and we invite you to join us throughout March as we celebrate those in who have inspired, taught, and worked alongside generations of Mariners. These incredible women are our classmates, colleagues, family members, heroes, and friends.
1954 Lecture Hall | 7 pm
A boldly provocative, timely thriller, the Promising Young Woman Watch Party will be held in person, with an option to join virtually.
The film tells the story of Cassie, a wickedly smart young woman who lives a double life. Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs from the past.
The socially distanced, in-person screening will be held in the 1954 Room in the Alfond Student Center at 7 p.m. This event is sponsored by MMA’s Campus Activities Board. Refreshments and popcorn will be served.

Join us for a virtual panel as alumnae from 2010-2019 answer questions about their experiences, provide insight on career options, and inspire our current and future students.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions with panelists, allowing for additional conversation and networking.

Wonder Woman 1984 is the sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman and the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe.
The film tells the story of Diana Prince, who lives quietly among mortals in the 1980s. She maintains a low profile by curating ancient artifacts, performing heroic acts incognito, but soon must muster all her strength, wisdom, and courage to take on Maxwell Lord and Cheetah, a superhuman villainess.
