Veterans Day is a day to honor American veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. We invite you to celebrate with us as we honor all those in our MMA community who have served our country. Our veterans are the everyday heroes who are our classmates, colleagues, family members, and friends.
To our veterans: thank you. Your devotion to duty, defense of freedom, and service to our nation inspire us today and every day. We are proud to stand alongside you as Mariners.
As part of Maine Maritime Academy’s Veterans Day ceremony, we invite you to submit information about yourself if you are a veteran, or to acknowledge a veteran you know for us to honor on Veterans Day. Please use the form on our Veterans Day page by October 31, 2024. Your participation will help us recognize and celebrate the brave individuals who have served our country.
Community members have submitted information about themselves and/or veterans that they want to acknowledge for their service.

In addition to events on campus, we are also sending students, staff, and faculty to the following:
- Bangor, Maine Veterans Day Parade (MMA Regiment Band)
- New York City Veterans Day Parade (MMA Regiment Band)
- Arlington National Cemetery (MMA Regiment Color Guard)
We would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you to all veterans on our campus. Whether you served one term or an entire career in the military, you have earned our respect and gratitude. Your devotion to duty, defense of freedom, and service to our nation inspire us today and every day. As a small token of our appreciation, please enjoy lunch on us at MMA with a lunch meal ticket.
