Maine Maritime Academy

This photo of me was taken in front of Mayon Volcano in the Philippines aboard the USNS Mercy on July 4th, 2016. This deployment I was on was a part of the Navy’s mission known as “Pacific Partnership 2016” and it was one of my most rewarding experiences during my time on active duty. During my 6 month deployment in South-East Asia, I was fortunate to help the people of third-world nations who did not have access to the type of healthcare we take for granted in the US. While working with the medical active duty team, I also worked alongside the MSC crew that ran the day to day operations aboard the ship. It was from them I learned of the Maine Maritime Academy and was what eventually led me to this school.
