Roy W. Sussman, Sr. ’46

died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at Care One Nursing Home in Morristown. He was 79. Born in New York City, he lived most of his life in Florham Park. Mr. Sussman was an advertising salesman for many years at the Chicago Sun Times — New York City office before retiring in 1989. He was a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, and Seton Hall University in South Orange. A Navy veteran, he served as a second lieutenant aboard the USS Randolph. He coached Florham Park Little League and Pee Wee football. His wife, Anita Riordan Sussman, died previously. He is survived by two sons, Roy Jr. and Peter; two daughters, Mary Sussman and Clare Flanner, and six grandchildren. Interment followed in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Arrangements were by the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main St., Madison.
