Kati Burdet earned her B.S in Power Engineering Technology from Maine Maritime Academy in 2018. While attending, she was a member and President for one year of the Society of Women Engineers, MMA Chapter. She also obtained fantastic internships where she spent two summers at natural gas and coal power plants owned by Dynegy, and one summer spent building a natural gas power plant in Ohio with Bechtel. She began her career with FieldCore in July of 2018 as a Generator Specialist and quickly cross trained as a Mechanical Gas Turbine Field Engineer. Though she loved that job, she decided to pursue opportunities with less travel and entered the renewable industry. During her time in the renewable industry she gained experience as a Solar Technician, Project Manager, and eventually Execution Segment Leader. In November of 2022 she chose to take some time away from industry to enjoy family/friends/life and is now currently exploring the many opportunities that an MMA degree can offer her. While in the search for her next career move she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jordan, doing their favorite activity of snowmobiling – which includes an annual trip out west to Wyoming and Montana. They are also crazy dog parents to their three dogs – Maddie, Reese, and Millie – which keep them extremely busy!
