Maine Maritime Academy recently welcomed Vane Brothers to its Castine campus, where representatives met with the first students selected for the new Vane Brothers Fellowship Program. The visit provided an opportunity for fellows to connect directly with industry leaders and learn more about future career pathways.
The three students from the Vessel Operations and Technology program chosen as the inaugural recipients are Jonah Densmore, Lance Kennedy, and Will Spaulding. The fellowship offers significant financial support while also strengthening ties between students and one of the East Coast’s leading maritime companies.
During their time on campus, Vane Brothers representatives engaged with students, faculty, and leadership, reinforcing the shared commitment to developing the next generation of maritime professionals. The visit highlighted the value of hands-on education and early industry connections—both central to the Academy experience.
