IT IS APRIL IN CASTINE, and the seasons are finally changing.
The breeze off the harbor has softened, the sun is shining, and the first yellow flowers of spring have arrived.
It is a feeling that President William J. Brennan also shares. After 12 years at the helm, he is now headed into retirement, joining graduating students as they leave Castine after the commencement ceremony.
