Meet the Class of 2023

The Class of 2023 began move-in on campus in mid-August. Regimental Preparatory Training began on August 15. Independent (non-regimental) students reported on August 23. Convocation was held on Monday, August 26 and first semester classes started the following day.

Ninety percent of new students are first-time freshmen; 24% were Scouts (8% Eagle or Gold Award); 7% were in Boys State or Girls State; 22% were members of the National Honor Society; 78% were varsity letter winners (55% team captains); 31% served as class, student government, or club officer; and 3% serve in the National Guard, Reserves or are veterans. Average SAT scores were: Verbal 553 and Math 557, with an average total of 1,110, and average ACT composite scores of 24.

Admissions and Enrollment Management Director Kelly Gualtieri says that successful recruitment of students for the Class of 2023 was due, in large part, because of these factors: having a full admissions staff; an emphasis on recruitment activities; historical graduate placement rates; and alumni assistance in recruiting and enrolling young men and women across the United States.
