Linette Casey receives 2024 C3E Award

In November Linette Casey ’99, the first female graduate at the Academy to receive a BS in International Business and Logistics, received the 2024 Clean Energy Education & Empowerment (C3E) Business Award “in recognition of exceptional leadership and accomplishments in clean energy.” The C3E Initiative is led by the U.S. Department of Energy, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Initiative, Stanford University’s Precourt Institute for Energy, and the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at Arizona State University.

During her career, Casey has held multiple roles across the renewable energy field in support of clients that include engineering, procurement and construction companies; developers; startups; utilities; and regulating bodies. Casey was a founding member and former president of the Boston Chapter of the Women’s Energy Network, where she helped to establish a college scholarship for young women entering energy careers.

Casey has also received the Distinguished Alumna Award from Maine Maritime Academy and the Excellence in Character Award (formerly the Woman of the Year Award) from PowerGen International and was named one of the Top 10 Global Women in Sustainability by TE100.
