Meagan earned her B.S. in Marine Transportation Operations from Maine Maritime Academy in 2021. Upon graduation, she joined the American Maritime Officers Union and began her career as a Third Mate working on a coastwise crude oil tanker. As a member of AMO, she was also able to gain experience in MARAD’s Ready Reserve Force fleet before returning to Castine. She currently works at MMA, serving as third mate on the T.S. State of Maine.
Meagan stays busy spending time with friends and family and coaching high school basketball. She resides in Orland, Maine with her partner, Claire, and dog, Payson.
