The Department of Human Resources invites you to explore the Ship Shape wellness program offered at MMA that may provide you with some of the tools to make healthy lifestyle choices, manage and maintain your work and home life balance, and live an active life.<br \/>\n<!--\n\n<h2>M<del><\/del><del><\/del>arch Focus -\u00a0Sleep Awareness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n<h2>Tips to Sleep Tight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\t\n\n<li class=\"node\"><b>Stick to a regular bedtime.<\/b> Go to sleep and get up at the same time each day, even on weekends. Your body will get used to the routine.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li class=\"node\"><b>Take a warm bath. <\/b>When you get out of the tub, the drop in body temperature may help you feel tired. It can also help you relax and slow down, so you\u2019re more ready to go to bed.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li class=\"node\"><b>Take time to calm down<\/b> before you turn out the lights. Turn off your electronic devices and TV an hour before bed. You can read a book, listen to music -- whatever helps you unwind.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li class=\"node\"><b>Avoid afternoon naps.<\/b> If you sleep during the day, you're more likely to stay awake at night.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li class=\"node\"><b>Don't drink alcohol close to bedtime<\/b>. Even small amounts can make it harder to stay asleep.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li class=\"node\"><b>Drink less fluids at night.<\/b> Trips to the bathroom break up your sleep.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<h2>Wellness Sleep Log<\/h2>\n\n\nPrint out and use our <a href=\"https:\/\/mainemaritime.edu\/wellness\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/03\/Wellness-Sleep-Log.xlsx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\">Wellness Sleep Log<\/a> to monitor and create awareness\u00a0of your habits before and during sleep.
