We are half way through the planking process and only have 28 more planks to go on the vessel. With the shipwrights in full swing, we are getting two to three planks on every day. At this pace, we will be in a good position to have the vessel fully planked by the end of the month. We plan to have <em>Bowdoin<\/em> ready for launch by high tide on June 18.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, we are also working to replace the concrete ballast, filing the frame bays with new concrete and lead weight to match what we removed.<\/p>\n<p>Next week, Geno Scalzo will start the caulking process.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d like to take a moment to congratulate to all of MMA\u2019s graduating seniors and wish everyone a great summer.<\/p>\n<p>Hope to see you out there sailing!<\/p>\n<p>Captain McLean<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Great progress is being made!
