Day 43: Kiel Canal Voyage

Posted on: June 17, 2019

On day 41, the TSSOM and its crew navigated their way through the Kiel Canal.  For many on board, it was our first experience with a canal.  Thankfully, the weather was great and students were able to enjoy beautiful views of Germany.  Before entering the canal, the TSSOM sailed past a wind mill farm, with what seemed like a thousand wind mills towering over the ocean.  That was just one of many interesting sights over the last few days!

We entered the Baltic Sea on Day 42, and are continuing on our voyage to Estonia.  Today, Alpha Company is on utility duty, cleaning the ship, and they doing a wonderful job.  Bravo Company is on its second day of watch.  Charlie Company is on maintenance, and Delta Company is on training.

Estonia is just a few days away!
