Shore leave in Louisbourg

Posted on: June 14, 2018

The crew got ashore today to enjoy some sight seeing and find a shower despite all the wind and rain. The ship and crew are happy to be in a snug harbor with strong Easterly winds and cold rain.

Even with the rain the crew made their way to Fortress Louisbourg, an amazingly restored fort from the late 1700’s. The crew enjoyed a meal served the same way that the soldiers would have eaten in the 1700’s.

With another night at anchor, the ship and crew are looking forward to getting back out sailing once the weather clears.
