Some spent 20 months at sea, according to the International Maritime Organization, an organization that described the issue as an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. The mariners\u2019 plight is often overlooked by people on the mainland. But it hasn\u2019t been overlooked by two Mainers, who began volunteering to give COVID-19 vaccinations to the crew members of cargo ships docked at Mack Point in Searsport.
