Dr. Al Bennett, Class of 1954,\u00a0 highlighted March On festivities at Homecoming\u00a0this year\u00a0as he led the crowd in a spirited rendition of the\u00a0Maine Maritime Academy March.<\/p>\n

Dr. Bennett is\u00a0the composer of the\u00a0march which he\u00a0originally wrote in 1955, recorded with the\u00a0University of New Hampshir marching band in 2013, and gifted to MMA in 2015.<\/p>\n

Accompanying music for the march was a recording of the talented\u00a0University of New Hampshire Band.<\/p>\n

Dr. Bennett\u2019s son, Dr. Garrett Bennett \u201985, and brother, Roy Bennett \u201962,\u00a0among other family members, were\u00a0in attendance\u00a0to\u00a0sing along.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
