Best for Vets

U.S. News and World Report has named Maine Maritime Academy the best college in the Northeast for veterans.

Methodology includes certification for the G.I. Bill; participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program or status as a public school that charges in-state tuition to all out-of-state veterans; enrolling a minimum of 20 veterans and active service members for at least three years (38 veterans currently attend MMA); and ranking in the top half of a ranking category (MMA is the #5 college in the Regional Colleges North category).

As reported by NEWS CENTER Maine, MMA President William Brennan noted the shared pride in the recognition, but also that “it’s an acknowledgment of the great work that goes on here.”
