Alumni Summer Solstice Cruise

MMA Alumni! Cruise the shores of Frenchman’s Bay and Acadia National Park on the Summer Solstice Sunset Happy Hour Nature Cruise on June 21, 2019. The brand new and luxurious boat Acadia Explorer, provided by Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company (BHWW), will be boarding at Harbor Place, 1 West Street, Bar Harbor, adjacent to the town pier, at 6:30 PM. Check in for your tickets at the MMA Alumni Relations table on the dock 30 minutes prior to departure. We recommend you arrive earlier to park.

All tickets are $10 per person, $5 for children under 5 years old. Tickets are limited. We have reserved 100 seats for MMA alumni and families. Contact the Alumni Relations office to reserve yours: 207-326-2337 or alumni@mma.edu.

The first hour is a traditional nature cruise with narration and opportunities to see the stunning shoreline of Acadia National Park. Visit Egg Rock Island and Lighthouse, part of the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge to see seals, eagles and nesting seabirds.

During the second hour of the trip, listen to fun happy hour music while the cruise slowly navigates the evergreen tree-topped islands of Frenchman Bay. BHWW partners with Atlantic Brewing Company, a local award winning microbrew. Snacks and beverages are available.

An evening trip with friends around Frenchman Bay and Acadia National Park as the sun sets is a great way to welcome in a Maine summer with MMA friends and alumni.
