Growing Up in a Maritime Family

“I grew up seeing all of his nautical tattoos and plaques around the house, and both of my parents were/are merchant mariners. I spent my childhood around ships,” says Chief Mate Coronado Hickman ’16 who works for Crowley Petroleum Services.

“I cherish the stories people remember from when my mom (Capt. Sherri Hickman ’85) was sailing as captain to now boarding vessels as a pilot that her daughter is sailing on.”

Great read, and thanks for sharing. I was at MMA with your mom , class of 1987.
