And they\u2019re generating excitement among the student athletes and staff who will use them this fall.<\/p>\n<p>The $400,000 fundraising goal for the project received generous financial support from alumni, parents, friends and corporations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAthletic facilities are an increasingly important choice driver for prospective student athletes,\u201d says Athletics Director Steve Peed, \u201cand are critical to delivering a high-quality experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Until now, the spaces MMA men\u2019s teams call home have looked largely the same for more than a half-century. The new facilities offer more utility, comfort and cleanliness, and serve to honor the athletes in their endeavors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe addition of women\u2019s locker rooms for each team has had a dramatic impact on female enrollment, as well as the caliber of athlete that we attract,\u201d says Peed.
