{"id":203,"date":"2017-12-14T14:18:03","date_gmt":"2017-12-14T14:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mainemaritime.edu\/mariner\/issue2-2017\/?p=203"},"modified":"2017-12-20T17:45:36","modified_gmt":"2017-12-20T17:45:36","slug":"career-fair-figures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mainemaritime.edu\/mariner\/issue2-2017\/campus-currents\/career-fair-figures\/","title":{"rendered":"Career Fair Figures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"subCategory\">Career Services<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>Career Fair Figures<\/h1>\n<p>The 17th annual MMA Career Fair was held on the traditional third Thursday in October.<\/p>\n<p>New Career Services Director, Joe Curtis &#8217;97 arrived just in time to help the Career Services team\u2014Chuck Easley \u201908, Deborah Harman, and Christine Spratt\u2014host the event.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the new continuous lunch service in the Alfond Student Center, we discontinued lunch service in the field house (except for company representatives). This change allowed us to expand the table layout, making navigation through the company tables much easier and less congested, which was well received!<\/p>\n<p>More than 550 students and some returning alumni attended to visit with 68 companies.<\/p>\n<p>Among returning companies were: Cianbro, Crowley, Dunlap, Hannaford, Kiewit, and PepsiCo.
