Course Description
The MMA Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher course will be open to all seafarers who have less than one year of sea time in the last five years, who have been previously certified in Advanced Fire Fighting, are capable of meeting the physical and eligibility requirements for STCW certification.

Student must also possess:

• Applicable and current Advanced Training (ADV) endorsement
• Be in good physical health to perform standard practice skills
• Able to speak and understand English language instruction

You must be clean-shaven in order to meet the NFPA regulations for SCBA’s; mustaches are OK.

You may want to bring an extra set of clothes for the live fire exercise as there are no showers available on site.

USCG Approval
Applicants who successfully complete our Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher course will satisfy the Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher requirements of  Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010, and 46 CFR 11.201(h) (1), and 11.303(e).
