Dear MMA Community Members,
Hancock County has been designated a “medium” risk county for COVID transmission and universal indoor masking on campus is now “recommended” rather than required. As we have consistently followed the Federal and State CDC guidelines throughout this pandemic, MMA will no longer require indoor masking on campus.
However, individuals who are in the five days period post isolation after a positive test or who are close contacts of a positive case in the ten-day window post exposure must still mask to protect others. In addition, masks will still be required when visiting the Health Center on campus. Please see the chart below for clarification.
I ask that all respect the masking choices of others and not make comments or assumptions, as there are many reasons why someone would continue to wear a mask to protect themselves or their loved ones.
I thank you again for your patience and resilience as we weathered this unprecedented pandemic and have been able to stay open for in-person instruction. I look forward to seeing your faces again!
Sincerely,
President Brennan
