However, these reports are limited by federal regulation to specific geographical locations on campus.<\/p>\n<p>Since Maine Maritime Academy\u2019s Honor Code and policies cover incidents beyond these geographical boundaries, we share this information in our annual reporting in addition to the Clery Report.<\/p>\n<p>Below you will find information regarding reports from the 2023 calendar year. Federal FERPA regulations and confidentiality practices prevent the academy from disclosing further details about these incidents, but questions about MMA policies and procedures may be directed to the academy\u2019s Title X coordinator.<\/p>\n<p>2023 Calendar Year<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 alleged incident of sexual harassment reported to MMA.\n<ul>\n<li>Incident occurred off-campus.<\/li>\n<li>Incident was dismissed from the Title IX process (did not meet the criteria for Title IX) and moved to the disciplinary process.<\/li>\n<li>Supportive measures were offered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOTE: Confidential reports to counseling services are not accounted for in this information.<\/p>\n<p>2022 Calendar Year<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 alleged incident of sexual harassment reported to MMA.<\/li>\n<li>2 alleged incidents of sexual assault reported to MMA.<\/li>\n<li>All 3 incidents occurred off-campus, 1 was during a field experience.<\/li>\n<li>Supportive measures were offered by MMA in all three instances.<\/li>\n<li>Of the three reported incidents, 1 formal complaint was filed through MMA; 1 complaint was filed with local authorities.<\/li>\n<li>1 formal complaint was resolved through an informal process after investigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<style>\r\n#accordionAdmit .panel-default>.panel-heading, #accordionCost .panel-default>.panel-heading, #accordionReg .panel-default>.panel-heading, #accordionRes .panel-default>.panel-heading, #accordionBill .panel-default>.panel-heading, #AccordionTrans .panel-default>.panel-heading, #endRes .panel-default>.panel-heading {\r\n    background: #f2f2f2;\r\n}\r\n<\/style>\r\n\n<div id=\"accordion\" class=\"panel-group\">\n<div class=\"panel panel-default\">\n<div class=\"panel-heading\">\n<h4 class=\"panel-title\"><a class=\"accordion-toggle collapsed\" href=\"#collapseTwo\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion\">Prior Year Data<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"collapseTwo\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse\">\n<div class=\"panel-body\">\n<div id=\"accordionCost\" class=\"panel-group\">\n<div class=\"panel panel-default\">\n<div class=\"panel-heading\">\n<h4 class=\"panel-title\"><a class=\"accordion-toggle collapsed\" href=\"#collapseC3\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordionCost\">2021 Calendar Year<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"collapseC3\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse\">\n<div class=\"panel-body\">\n<ul>\n<li>3 alleged incidents of sexual assault were reported to MMA.<\/li>\n<li>2 incidents occurred on campus; 1 incident occurred off-campus.<\/li>\n<li>Supportive measures were offered by MMA in all three instances.<\/li>\n<li>Of the three reported incidents, 0 formal complaints were filed through MMA; 1 complaint was filed with local authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--2021--><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>According to Title IX requirements, formal complaints are made in writing to the Title IX Coordinator.\u00a0 <\/strong>A Formal Complaint should contain as much detail as possible. It must disclose the identity of the person(s) alleged to have engaged in the sexual harassment, and the location(s), date(s), identification of potential witnesses and description of the alleged conduct.
