Need Based Scholarship Program
For First-Year Students Entering Maine Maritime Academy
Maine Maritime Academy has one need-based grant for first-year students entering the college, the Kenneth M. Curtis Scholarship fund. The Kenneth M. Curtis Scholarship is an endowed trust fund established by the personal and corporate friends of Kenneth M. Curtis, MMA Class of 1952.
Funds are very limited, so the scholarship is issued on a first-come first-served basis. The maximum award is $2,000 and is based on financial need. There is no required application and it is issued automatically through the financial aid process.
For a student to be considered, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed.
Qualification does not guarantee a scholarship.
Please note: A MMA Scholarship may be withdrawn if you:
- Violate the Community Code of Conduct
- Fail to write a thank-you letter
