Tell us about yourself:
I grew up in Morganton, North Carolina surrounded by country living at its finest! I love being outside, riding four wheelers, or swinging on my grandparents porch. I graduated from Salem College in Winston Salem, N.C. earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology in 2014. I utilized my degree for roughly two years a Physical Therapist before jumping into the collegiate coaching world. I became an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Lenior Rhyne University and eventually found my way to Maine Maritime Academy where my role has developed into an Admissions Counselor and Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. I love coming to work and being a resource for students as they find their own path of excellence. I love everything sports and can always be found cheering the Mariners on at all home events. Outside of work, I love arts and crafts and being out in nature .
My territories are my home, THE DEEP SOUTH! From the mountains of Virginia to the beaches in Florida, you can find me at every fair in between. (Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma)
Favorite Aspect of Campus:
The many different views of the ocean!
I wanted to be a Pediatrician that specialized in Cardiology when I grew up. I rewatch Grey’s Anatomy from season one every year starting January 1st. I am oddly obsessed with pineapples.
