Patrick English has built a career spanning military service and private industry leadership, with experience in maritime operations, supply chain management, and global logistics. His introduction to the maritime sector began during his service as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he deployed with Marine Expeditionary Units in support of operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Horn of Africa. During this time, his unit operated alongside ships and submarines built and maintained in Maine, while also supporting global missions enabled by U.S. Military Sealift Command vessels, many of which were crewed by graduates of the Maine Maritime Academy.<\/p>\n
Patrick\u2019s service in the Marine Corps also included providing support to Louisiana and Mississippi in the immediate aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita along the U.S. Gulf Coast in 2005. After leaving the Marines in 2006, he worked with the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Gulf Coast Rebuilding.<\/p>\n
Patrick joined Shell in 2008, where he held roles of increasing responsibility in operations and supply chain management across the Americas. His work spanned the U.S. maritime industry, including inland waterways, offshore energy operations, and international shipping. He collaborated with marine industry associations, as well as shipbuilders and operators, to recruit and develop talent from U.S. merchant marine academies. In addition, he was responsible for Shell\u2019s U.S. upstream maritime safety program and oversaw operations across numerous port facilities in the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n
In 2021, Patrick joined Intralox, a U.S.-based global manufacturing company, where he serves as Manager of Integration and Supply Chain Operations for North America. In this role, he supports a business that depends heavily on a strong and reliable U.S. merchant marine.<\/p>\n
Patrick was raised in Bronxville, New York. He earned a BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from Tulane University. He and his wife, Nina, have three daughters and live in New Orleans, Louisiana.
