Anne Devine

Anne graduated from Bowdoin College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. She began her business career at Merrill Lynch in New York working as a programmer on the industry’s first comprehensive cash management program that became the model for many financial institutions worldwide. A Maine native, she returned to work at Union Mutual Life Insurance Company which is now Unum Corporation. An information technology professional she managed operations in Investments and Finance eventually overseeing and leading a 175 employee organization. In addition to several industry related credentials and as part of her continuing professional development and education Anne obtained her Master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1991. In addition, she has served as a mathematics tutor at several grade levels throughout her career. Anne retired in 2008 to complete parenting her three children. Anne has served her community at several non-profit organizations including the United Way of Greater Portland, Alliance of the Mentally Ill and also developed and taught an ethics program to high school students.  Anne resides in Portland with her family and enjoys hiking, tennis and reading.
