Meet the faculty and staff from the Loeb-Sullivan School of International Business & Logistics to learn about the graduate degree program in International Logistics Management at Maine Maritime Academy.

This course is for individuals who are interested in obtaining Subchapter M and auditor training along with managers, consultants, and executives who are eager to learn more information regarding Subchapter M. This course will begin your understanding and training third-party auditors the auditing process. This course will also discuss ISO and ISM auditing and how it all ties back into Subchapter M and its audits on towing and other small vessels.

This course will cover:
Cold water and hypothermia
Damage control
Emergency procedures
Emergency signaling (Flares)
Group problem solving & Communication
Heavy weather
Life jackets, life rafts, and other pool exercises
Man overboard procedures
Seamanship
Storm sails
In order to complete the hands on seminar, individuals must have completed the online training module of the Safety at Sea Program within 1-year of this course. Individuals can sign up for that module now and receive the link from the Continuing Education Department to complete prior to April 20, 2019.
For those who are not going to attend the April 20 assessment, but want to complete only the online portion at this time, you may purchase that by directly contacting Liza Clark (207-326-2211).
Upon meeting the minimum standard of competence in fast rescue boats, the trainee will be competent to handle and take charge of such boats during or after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions. They will also be able to operate a fast rescue boat engine; learn the correct use of all locating devices, including communication and signaling equipment between the rescue boat and a helicopter and the ship; and how to carry out search patterns.
