The path to becoming a Midshipman at Maine Maritime Academy starts with the first step, Regimental Preparatory Training (RPT). After RPT, the Midshipmen Under-Guidance (MUGs) begin classes while continuing to be taught and guided by their training cadre through MUG Month. The finale of this intense, focused training is comprised of some competitions in the morning and culminates with the MUGs taking the Oath of Midshipmen at our Regimental Induction Ceremony. From that point on, they are 4th Class Midshipmen and they begin the next phase at Maine Maritime Academy. Come join us and see the pride and sense of accomplishment that will be on display at the various events throughout the day.
