MMA Alumni Ski Day @ Black Mountain Ski Resort
Feb 29 @ 9:00 am
Please join us for the 6th annual Maine Maritime Academy Alumni Winter Gathering at Black Mountain Ski Resort (www.skiblackmountain.org) in Rumford, Maine on Saturday, February 29. MMA students on spring break are welcome and encouraged to join us, enjoy the camaraderie, network with alumni and discover the many diverse career paths that their MMA education can take them on.

Come for any or all of the day. Enjoy catching up with fellow Alumni. Black Mountain offers a $25 all-day adult lift ticket that day and has night skiing (5 to 9pm). It is the 4th highest vertical drop ski area in Maine yet has easy trails from the top. With great snow this year you will enjoy some of the finest glade skiing around. There are 17 kilometers of some of the best cross-country trails in North America. Snow shoeing is allowed on the cross-country trails. Equipment rentals are available at the on mountain ski shop. Black Mountain has downhill & cross country skis and snowshoes available for rent.

All are welcome to join us for an après ski social gathering with live entertainment from 3:00 to 5:30 pm in the upstairs bar and lounge. Spouses and guests are welcome! Networking opportunity for MMA students with MMA Alumni with diverse careers in going to sea on merchant vessels, tugs, offshore rigs, ship building, large power plants, the paper industry, military, ski industry, construction, safety and owning and operating successful businesses in Maine.

Mark your calendar and plan on joining us for a day on the slopes. RSVP’s are not required but are appreciated and can be made to Karen Cukierski at 207-326-2337 or via email at karen.cukierski@mma.edu.  If you have questions about the venue, please contact Ed Rosenberg at 207-577-5226.

If you can’t make it to the ski event but would like to receive notices of any future alumni gatherings in Western Maine, just send an email reply to Karen.

Looking forward to seeing you at Black Mountain. Lifts open at 9AM.
