Loss of the El Faro
I've been following the El Faro saga. When I was a
field engineer for General Electric Corporation in the
mid-70s, I worked on the SS Puerto Rico (the original
name of the El Faro) when it was being built at Sun
Ship. I worked the night shift when they were installing
the main reduction gears, so I feel I have a connection
to the ship also. I offer my sincere condolences to al
